LONDON: The US Food and Drug Administration on Thursday said it has ordered the recall of a drug from Europe after it was found to be linked to the sale of counterfeit erectile dysfunction drugs.
The FDA said the drugs were made from a batch of raw sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra), which is sold under the brand name Revatio. In Europe, the drug was found to contain the active ingredient in counterfeit erectile dysfunction pills.
